From Classroom to Boardroom: A BMC-Based Teaching Innovation

Objective of the Innovation: ·         To introduce students to entrepreneurial and business strategy concepts using a practical framework. ·         To enhance analytical, communication, and innovation skills through project-based learning. ·         To develop interdisciplinary thinking by integrating technical knowledge with business planning. ·         To build confidence in presenting structured ideas using professional formats like the BMC. Innovative Aspects: ·         Integration of Entrepreneurship Education within a technical curriculum. ·         Use of the Business Model Canvas, a globally recognized strategic tool, in student projects. ·         Smart classroom tools (digital boards) used to elevate the quality of presentations. ·         Faculty shifted roles from instructors to innovation mentors guiding idea development. Outcomes: ·         Students gained practical exposure to business ideation and model development. ·         Improved critical thinking, teamwork, and formal communication. ·         Encouraged innovation and problem-solving from a market perspective.
